In this talk I will give a review of multi-wavelength observations of coronal mass ejections (CMEs), other types of ejecta, as well as travelling large-scale disturbances such as waves. The emphasis of this presentation will be an account of observational results, particularly those which include radio observations. I will discuss our current understanding of such phenomena and the major outstanding questions. I will also briefly discuss the prospects for significant advances in our understanding using new data from the Hinode and STEREO missions.
