2001 Ph.D. in Ancient History, Freie Universität Berlin. PhD thesis: Das griechische Alexanderbild. Studien zur nicht historiographischen Überlieferung über Alexander den Grossen bis zum 3. Jh. n. Chr. , supervised by Prof. Alexander Demandt. Supported by a German state scholarship (DAAD) and awarded a Greek state scholarship (IKY).
