Brief Curiculum Vitae
I was born in Athens. In 1989 I got my graduate degree on History and Archaeology from the University of Ioannina (grade: "Very Good"). I got my Masters degree in 1995 from the University of Athens with the thesis "Byzantine imperial iconography during the comnenian and palaeologian era" (grade "Excellent"). In 2000 I supported my PhD thesis at the University of Athens entitled "The Iconographic Program of Bema in Middle Byzantine Churches in Greece " (Grade "Excellent"). I taught Byzantine Art and Archaeology for two years (2003-2005) in the Philipps-Universit tat Marburg (Germany). During these years I have also worked on my habilitation entitled "The Iconography of Jesus' Parables in the Art of the Eastern Church (5th -15th" c.). I supported my habilitation on May 2012. Since 2007 I have been working as Assist. Professor of Byzantine Archaeology and Art in the University of Ioannina. My research field includes Byzantine painting, iconography, illuminated manuscripts, social history, inscriptions, minor arts and architecture.
