Curriculum Vitae

Georgios Nikolaou had his PhD in history at the University of Marc Bloch, in Strasbourg, where he followed classes (1989-1992) of New European History and Geopolitics. From 1992 to 2002 he worked to Paris doing research in the French Records and the State Archives of Venice, while, in the same time, he had postgraduate classes in byzantine and meta-byzantine socio-economical history and history of institutions of the Ottoman Empire, at Sorbonne and at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), plus islamology in the Ecole Pratiques des Hautes Etudes (EPHE). Since 2011, he is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ioannina, Department of History and Archaeology, in the "New Greek Economic and Social History, 16 th -19 th century", on which he is working since Spring Semester 2010-2011. He has participated in different conferences in Greece and abroad.
