The stereoisomer Ä-cis-[Ph2Sn(CIP)2] (CIPTIN) was obtained from ciprofloxacin and diphenyltin dichloride. 2D layer supramolecular assembly is established based on strong hydrogen bonding interactions. CIPTIN eliminates both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria tested, and is stronger than the ciprofloxacin itself.
