Welcome to my website. I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Ioannina. I am a member of the Applied and Computational Mathematics Section and I am located at 313ε in the Mathematics building.
I am currently the Chair of Applied and Computational Mathematics Section (formerly known as Applied Mathematics and Engineering Research Section). I also served as Graduate Chair of the Department.
My research focuses on problems of physical applied mathematics, and as such, I try to understand and describe physical phenomena by employing detailed mathematical models/equations. Key to my study is to understand by approximation, exact and numerical methods, solutions to these underlying equations and their properties.
