Amalia Vassou

Dr Amalia Vassou is a graduate of the Medical School of Ioannina University (1991) and is a Specialist Haematologist since 1999, trained at Papanikolaou General Hospital, Thessaloniki. She joined the Department in July 2000. She has received a postgraduate training at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit of Glasgow Royal Infirmary, UK, and Beatson Cancer Institute, University Glasgow, UK as Honorary Associate Specialist in Haematology/BMT. She has a substantial research record, holds a PhD (2010) and is member of the European Hematology Association and the American Society of Hematology.
