The major tasks of SEP are the following:

• Task I: Understand the genesis of CMEs
• Task II: Determine the Flare-CME-Coronal Waves relationships
• Task III: Determine accurate CME arrival times.

Important millestones in the implementation of SEP are the following:

YEAR 1

• create a database of suitable events for all tasks
• develop and test tools for 3D modeling for all tasks
• develop automated CME detection algorithms
• organize a school in Ioannina on STEREO data analysis

YEAR 2

• create a database of suitable events for all tasks-cont
• complete TASK I
• start TASK II

YEAR 3

• complete TASK II
• start TASK III

YEAR 4

• complete TASK II
• organise a STEREO workshop in Ioannina
